A Mathematical Formula for Success

A Mathematical Formula For Success?

Imagine there is a mathematical formula to predict your success;
one that is based on science and not mythology; one that you can easily understand and see the levers that have the biggest impact on your success.

Imagine this formula also showed you the biggest factors currently limiting your success and what you should do next to increase your success.

Sound too good to be true? Its not…

I’ve spent 20 years developing the ‘Simple Success Formula’ that is based on science. It integrates the latest science and knowledge about actions and habits that are used by successful people all over the world and shown to increase lifetime success.

Here it is:

S = EAF

Simple isn’t it?

But it is also powerful and contains levels of detail not immediately visible.

I’ve used this formula myself to generate over a million dollars for my business which is in a tough tiny niche selling software to farmers for 3D earthworks designs. Bloody tough niche I tell you. That isn’t  selling dreamy information products or self fulfilling prophecy videos like ‘The Secret’. It was selling practical software that helps farmers produce more food. Now I want get my formula out to help other people experience that same success I have.

Productivity ($) = Value Of Action ($/hr) x Effectiveness (%) x Time Worked (hr)
Productivity is the expected value generate by your actions. The simplest way to define this is the money that you will likely obatain from your actions. To promote medium term thinking your best to think of this as any income that will occur over the next 12 months due to the action your took. Eg if I set up an online sales funnel that I think likely to generate 1000 sales over the next 12months at $100 each then that 12month expected income is $100,000. Now if if I expect to put 100hrs of work into the funnel, then the Value of the action is $1000/hr.
Effectiveness depends on your skill, the quality of tools available and effective time management. Effectiveness can be improved through traininginvestment in tools and better management of timeTraining and investment cost money in the short term, but can raise long-term productivity.

“Efficiency is doing the thing right. Effectiveness is doing the right thing.”  ― Peter F. Drucker

“There is nothing so useless as doing efficiently that which should not be done at all.”  ― Peter F. Drucker

In Drucker’s view, being effective required no magical powers, no innate personality. Good habits were enough. Therefore, Drucker spoke of “habits” and “practices” as opposed to “qualities” or “traits” when it came to effective leaders.  Also, while Drucker had no complaint about efficiency, he stressed that it was helpful only if directed toward a helpful end. Otherwise, you could have efficiency without effectiveness.

Effectiveness didn’t guarantee success, but it was a prerequisite for success, and anyone could learn the necessary habits.

As entrepreneurs, we can’t assume just because we do things well that we ought to be doing those things. Being effective requires knowing where to focus and consequently automating, outsourcing, and relegating everything else.
